Marketing Assistant JD
The Marketing Assistant assists the marketing manager and the team in daily marketing activities
Terms: Full time job with a three month probationary period
Place of work: Kigali with regular field work
Job purpose
The Marketing assistant supports the work of the marketing manager and executives on projects directed at maximizing company profits by developing social media, marketing strategies and campaigns. The Marketing assistant provides support for marketing teams and campaigns.
The marketing assistant will report to the marketing manager.
Duties of the Marketing Assistant include:
- Assisting the marketing manager and supporting the marketing team with marketing activities.
- Assisting with the production of marketing materials and literature.
- Set key metrics and track them
- Coordinating the production of a wide range of marketing communications
- Providing support for marketing events and exhibitions as required
- Assist with the collation of information for promotional literature.
- Writing articles and promotional material for the company.
- Preparing interesting written copy for the website.
- Develop, implement and manage social media plans
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product development teams to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new product launches
- Administer all company social media accounts ensuring up-to-date content
- Updating and maintaining the marketing department’s documentation and databases.
- Managing events, booking venues and ordering marketing materials.
- Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets
- Manage, create and publish original, high quality content
- Liaise with designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
- Facilitate customer-company communication (respond to queries, get reviews and organize chats and Q&A sessions)
- Prepare monthly social media reports and ROI
- Measure the success of every communication and social media campaign
- Train internal teams to integrate and maintain a cohesive social media strategy
- Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices
- Work on any other required tasks
Qualifications and experience
Education:
- University degree in Marketing, Communication, Social media management or equivalent professional work experience.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Up to three years of responsible professional work experience in the field of marketing or communication.
Languages:
- Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda
