Job description

1. Development and proposal to the management the models of design, decorative patterns intended to improve the quality of exhibitions and artistic products.
 Select models of designs depending on the final product;
 Present and explain selected designs during meetings for approval;
 Work hand in hand with RCHA’s weavers to make sure selected designs are applied properly on objects.
 Review the existing exhibition designs

2. Creation of forms and solutions to a structure or space for exhibition use.
 Design the space of the exhibition;
 Quantify art, artifacts and specimens to space;
 Calculate space per object / per visitor display modes and densities;
 Designate the exhibition gallery types.

3. Invention and preparation of useful decorative or artistic design
 Make inventory and update of the database of traditional motifs and decorative patterns;
 Draw traditional motifs and decorative patter

ns on the medium RCHA wants to decorate.

4. Participation in the production of the promotional materials of the Rwandan cultural heritage
 Provide RCHA’s audio-visual technician with artistic ideas when designing CD and DVD labels;
 Provide RCHA’s public relation staff with artistic ideas when designing leaflets, flyers and pull-up banners for advert.

5. Promotion of technical skills in traditional art crafts in the popularization of traditional decorative designs
 Develop and implement the traditional designs using digital technology.
 Organize and manage online exhibitions
