Overview: The Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University, established in 1971, is seeking to fill one PhD position in peace and conflict research. The department is internationally oriented, with approximately 90 staff members and around 1000 students enrolled annually.
Position Details:
- Title: General PhD Position in Peace and Conflict Research
- Focus: Submit a project plan with a proposed PhD theme related to peace and conflict research
- Duties: Primarily focus on doctoral education, with up to 20% for administrative and educational responsibilities
Qualifications:
- Acceptance into the DPCR’s PhD program based on an evaluation of the applicant’s ability to complete the program
Application Requirements:

- Short personal letter (1-2 pages)
- CV
- Certified transcripts of academic records
- Project plan (3-5 pages, excluding reference list)
- Letters of reference/recommendation (max 2) or list of references (max 2)
