DAAD/ABI Freiburg Conteste Governance Summer School 2020 for Graduate students from Developing countries (Fully funded to Freiburg, Germany) (Deadline: 01 March 2020)
Join us for an exciting summer! We invite Master and Ph.D. students from Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, South and South East Asia who participate in the In-Country / In-Region Scholarship Programme of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to apply for our upcoming four-week summer school on “Contested Governance”, to be held at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute, University of Freiburg, Germany, 1-27 September 2020.

Participants can expect an interesting mix of lectures, trainings and excursions, dealing with various aspects and challenges of governance. These include, but are not limited to, questions of the relations between citizens and the state, the role of public administrations, governmental reform and regional integration. Besides, targeted soft skills trainings will help participants to improve their personal work abilities. While the first three weeks will be held in Freiburg (Breisgau), the last week will be mainly held in Bonn, Germany’s “UN City”, and Frankfurt.
Applications should contain (a) an updated CV, (b) a letter of motivation (max. 2 pages), (c) a recommendation letter from a university professor and (d) a transcript of hitherto study achievements (grades).
