Value and award of the Scholarship
(a) The value of the Scholarship is $6,250 per year paid in two instalments;
(b) Similarly, senate may award 2 Scholarships in a year on the recommendation of the Head.
Eligibility for award
An applicant is eligible for the Scholarship if the applicant –
(a) submits an application to the Head, by the closing date for applications; and
(b) Also, is either enrolled in the honors year of the approved program or has submitted an application for
admission to the honors program; and
(c) Likewise, does not hold another scholarship that the Head considers to be similar.
Selection of award
1) For the selection process the Head must establish a selection committee, comprising –
(a) the Head of School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry or staff nominee as chair; and
(b) Additionally, the holder of the Paul Eliadis Chair of Classics and Ancient History or staff nominee; and
(c) Dr Vera Osiecki or nominee; and
(d)Also, the Director of the R.D. Milns Antiquities Museum or staff nominee
(2) Additionally, the Scholarship is awarded to the applicant showing greatest merit as demonstrated by –
(a) Similarly, academic achievement and potential for scholastic success; and
(b) Likewise, how travel or undertaking an internship will enhance the student’s honors year studies; and
(c) Furthermore, any other matters the committee considers relevant.
