Applications call for Post-doctoral Research Fellowship at North Dakota State University in the United States of America. The research program of Dr. Svetlana Kilina at the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department, North Dakota State University is seeking a postdoctoral candidate for conducting research on a topic closely related to the project funded by the DOE Grant for 2020-2023.
The project is focused on computational aspects of the electronic/spin structure calculations and non-adiabatic charge/spin dynamics of carbon nanotubes covalently functionalized by small organic molecules. Candidates are selected on the basis of their academic achievements and the promise of their scientific research, as reflected in their CV, Research Statement, and recommendation letters.
Furthermore, candidates should have experience/ training in the usage of common computational chemistry software and in the creation of computational programs and codes. Applications exhibiting a strong curiosity about theoretical/computational chemistry and materials modeling and focused on collaborative and cross-disciplinary research are especially encouraged.
Criteria
Applicants for this Pos-doctoral Research Fellowship at North Dakota State University will have the following qualifications
- Ph.D in chemistry or related field. Ph.D in Computational Chemistry or
- Computational/Theoretical Physics or Materials Modeling preferred.
Strong experience in first-principles calculations and scientific coding will be an advantage.
