Duties

The incumbent performs clerical and administrative duties as the Office Management Assistant (OMA) for the Regional Security Office (RSO) pertaining to a multitude of RSO administrative items, both classified and unclassified. The incumbent will need to work independently and possess strong communication skills as the incumbent will be in contact with many diverse individuals on a daily basis. Incumbent will require unescorted access to the Control Access Area (CAA) and a Secret security clearance is required.

Qualifications and Evaluations

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years of administrative experience which would include some of the following types of administrative duties: filing, scanning, scheduling appointments/meetings, maintaining calendars, ordering office supplies, making travel arrangements and receiving telephone calls is required.

The soonest possible start date would be at the end of July.

Education Requirements:
Completion of High school is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Fluent proficiency English writing/speaking/reading English is required. This may be tested.

Must be able to type 40 words per minute.  This will be tested.

The Embassy of the United States of America in Kigali is recruiting for a Public Health Specialist (Pediatric and Adolescent HIV Care and Treatment). The position is open to All Interested Candidates/All Sources and available to start immediately.

Duties: Under the supervision of CDC Public Health Specialist (HIV/AIDS Care & Treatment), the incumbent of this position serves as the key public health advisor on pediatric and adolescent care and treatment programs in Rwanda. The jobholder also serves as technical expert on HIV prevention among children and ensures consistent and proper delivery of CDC supported Prevention of the mother to Child HIV Transmission (PMTCT) activities in CDC supported health facilities. Position is responsible for the design, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of a broad range of agency funded program activities and studies for pediatric and adolescent care and treatment as well as PMTCT, required to implement the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Rwanda.

The jobholder is the Senior Program Advisor and program contact to the Rwanda Biomedical Center (RBC), Ministry of Health (MOH), external partners and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the implementation of pediatric and adolescent care and treatment program activities and studies. The incumbent represents CDC/Rwanda PMTCT, pediatric and adolescent care, and treatment issues at technical, policy and strategic planning meetings, including meetings with collaborators and donor agencies. The job holder serves as a primary contributor to the planning, development, and review of the pediatric and adolescent care and treatment and PMTCT components of the annual Country Operational Plan (COP) for Rwanda. Collaborates with implementing partners to identify training needs and participates in the development and implementation of training courses for partner organizations.

Duties

The Project Coordinator plans, coordinates, and monitors special maintenance, repair, and upgrade projects within the Facility Management Section at Embassy properties. Additionally, the Project Coordinator identifies project requirements, writes statements of work, writes specifications, coordinates scheduling, orders materials, monitors, and evaluates projects. Furthermore, the Project Coordinator determines the most feasible means to meet Embassy requirements while ensuring a high-quality product.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Reviewing contractors’ proposals for compliance with Embassy requirements and recommends acceptance or rejection; and serve as Contracting Officer Representative (COR), review materials and workmanship quality, accepts or rejects products/materials, monitors project progress in relation to the project schedule. Maintain official documentation of contract correspondence and inspection logs.

Duties

Performs all duties of a security escort by monitoring and escorting non-cleared visitors and personnel while in controlled access areas (CAA) or in other locations within mission facilities and grounds. The position is either full time, part time, or on an as needed basis, some after-hours, weekend and holiday work may be required.

Incumbent performs the duties of security escort for personnel without a security clearance, who perform maintenance, repairs, and other services in the controlled access area (CAA) of the chancery, escorts COTELs and POTUS’ and classified pouch when required.
