Keyon farms started operations in 2021. We are a family-owned farm located in Bugesera in the Eastern province of Rwanda. It’s our dream to make quality meat affordable to all, so that more people can have access to diets with a healthy protein content. We bring a sense of discovery and adventure into poultry farming and are keen to continuously innovate to increase efficiency and predictability in meat production.
We currently raise broilers in 3 poultry houses with a combined capacity to produce 15 tons of chicken meat per month. We integrate best in class practices into our production processes, for example by using modern data science techniques to optimize efficiency so that we can give our customers quality chicken meat at an affordable price.
JOB TITLE: SHOP KEEPER
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking to hire a hardworking, customer – oriented shop keeper who will ensure the smooth running of in-store retail operations and run digital marketing campaigns to increase store traffic in our chicken meat retail shop located at the equinox market Kisimenti.
Responsibilities.
- Welcoming clients to the shop.
- Informing clients of shop promotions to encourage purchases.
- Maintaining the company’s social media presence and running social media adverts.
- Addressing and resolving customers complaints in a professional manner.
- Processing clients’ payments using shop’s point of sales system.
- Proper documentation of the shop’ operations.
- Ability to communicate price fluctuations to clients in a compelling manner.
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of using weighing scales/balances.
- Performing cleaning duties which include cleaning the freezers, dusting of windows / door, as well as sweeping and mopping the shop floor.
Requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Accounting, or any related field with proven retail sales experience of at least 2 years (experience selling in a retail shop is a plus)
- Proven knowledge of digital marketing.
- Experience using EBM software.
- Ability to use weighing scales / balances, issuing invoices, and receipts.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using MS Excel.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Kinyarwanda.
- Be detail oriented.
