The Basil Industries is Leading Manufacturers of Corrugated Boxes, Laundry Bar Soaps, Ladies Sanitary Pads. Located at Industrial Park Muhanga.
Job Title: Soap Chemical Engineer
Job Summary:
Designs, develops, and optimizes soap manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality soap products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and improve soap formulations and recipes.
- Design and optimize soap manufacturing processes (e.g., saponification, blending).
- Conduct experiments and trials to test new formulations and processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues and resolve problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, quality control).
- Optimize process efficiency, yield, and product quality.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in soap manufacturing or related industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and soap chemistry.
- Knowledge of soap-making processes and raw materials.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering .
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Experience with process simulation software.
- Knowledge of quality control and assurance procedures.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EPA).
Work Environment:
- Soap manufacturing plant.
- Laboratory setting.
- Collaboration with production team.
