Tender Procedure for the Supply of Laptops and Related Services: Deadline: 28 September 2020

 

Introduction

In cooperation with Rwanda Education Board (REB), the University of Rwanda – College of Education (URCE), and affiliated Teacher Training Colleges (TTC), VVOB started a multi-year programme on Leading, Teaching and Learning Together (2017-2021). The cooperation programme aims to improve the quality of primary and secondary education through strengthening the existing education system in Rwanda, with a focus on the improvement of the professional development of school leaders and the induction of new teachers.

Tender

The contract comprises the delivery of two thousand five hundred thirty-five (2535laptops and related services to all sectors in Rwanda. The contracting authority (VVOB Rwanda) has the possibility to place an additional order at the same time as the original order of 473 laptops under the same specifications and conditions as the initial order. VVOB will engage in a contract for 2 lots:

Lot 1: Delivery of 2535 laptops as specified in the Technical Specifications (III), found under the external link provided. The VVOB has the possibility to place an additional order at the same time of the original order of 473 laptops under the same specifications and conditions as the initial order and to be delivered together with the other 2535 laptops. Title and risk shall pass upon delivery to the temporary secure storage location in Kigali. The service provider shall be solely liable for the risk of loss, theft, and damage of the laptops, including but not limited to those resulting from force majeure, natural disasters, or other causes, up until delivery into the temporary secure storage in Kigali.

Lot 2: Additional services after the delivery of 2535 laptops + (optional at the request of the contracting authority) 473 laptops as specified in the Technical Specifications (III), found under the external link provided:

  • Temporary secure storage of laptops in Kigali
  • Installation of software and learning materials
  • Triage of laptops according to the final destination (all sectors of Rwanda): see link in Technical Specifications)
  • Distribution to the different locations (at sectors: see link in Technical Specifications)
  • The service provider shall be solely liable for the risk of loss, theft, and damage of the laptops, including but not limited to those resulting from force majeure, natural disasters or other causes, as from the time of delivery into the temporary secure storage in Kigali until the laptops have been transported and delivered to the final destination (at the sector level).

Quotations can be submitted for one or both lots. Tenderers may tender for more than one lot by submitting separate quotations per lot.
