Expression of interest (EOI) for the provision of 36 Sewing/ Tailoring machines as start-up kits for the young girls in Rukara sector, Kayonza District.

Call for Suppliers and/or Services Providers

Learn Work Develop (LWD) is a Rwandan local public interest nongovernmental organization working on the promotion for effective work and sustainable employment among the young girls and boys on one hand, and fighting against the barriers to the effective work and sustainable employment on the other hand. Those barriers include the ignorance, early marriage, teen pregnancies, climate change, HIV/AIDS, and other diseases. Consequently, LWD is committed in the prevention and response to the teen pregnancies among the young girls of Rwanda.

Under the financial support from Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Learn Work Develop (LWD) is implementing the project entitled “MASENGE MBA HAFI PROJECT in all 39 villages of Rukara Sector, Kayonza District, in Eastern Province.

For this reason, Learn Work Develop (LWD) wants to distribute its portion of the budget towards the “Provision of the 36 Sewing/ tailoring machines as start-up kits for the young girls”. Hence, Learn Work Develop (LWD) invites the interested bidders to submit bids for the offering of those machines, and bidders can apply for this tender in the following way:

2. Participation in the competition is open on equal opportunities and conditions to all companies, individuals with TIN Number, and enterprises specialized in the field of provision of equipment and materials for sewing and/or tailoring trade.

3. To stop the spread of COVID18, the tender document will be obtained via email from 26/09 to 16/10/2020 by sending the “Expression Of Interest (EOI) for Tender” as title and scanned copy of Bank Receipt of a non-refundable prepaid fee of 10,000 Rwf paid to LWD’s Bank Account No 00059-0660844-05 opened in the Bank of Kigali (BK) to the email: lwdrwanda@gmail.com. 4. The Bids and Expression of Interest (EOI) can be sent in English and the Bids must be sent to LWD’s Email (lwdrwanda@gmail.com) no later than 16/10/2020 at 2:00 pm, Kigali Time. Late bids will be rejected.

5.  The opening of bids will take place on 17/10/2020 at 11h00 am at LWD Community Center Hall in Rukara sector, Kayonza District in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
