JOB AT NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS : Human Rights Protection and Monitoring Officer : ( Deadline : 18 February 2019 )

 

Job Description

1. Receive and analyze complaints reported to the Commission;
2. Carry out investigation on complaints related to allegations of human rights violation and suggest appropriate recommendations;
3. Follow up the implementation of the commission’s decisions and conclusions meant to avert human rights violations;
4. Mediate and conciliate when possible the concerned parties with human rights litigations;
5. Carry out monitoring of human rights respect in the detention premises, correctional services, elections, refugee camps, courts, and any other place determined by the commission and suggest pertinent recommendations;
6. Participate in the conduct of inquiries on human rights matters and make relevant recommendations.

 

 




 

Job Profile

 

A0 in Law, Education Sciences, Public Administration, Political Sciences, Sociology, Social Sciences

Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:

– Deep understanding of National and International human rights instruments

– Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Rwandan legal system and
International law ;

– Extensive knowledge of the Rwandan criminal procedure law and system

– Knowledge of investigation and evidence gathering techniques;

– Knowledge of court processes and procedures in general;

– Creative, proactive, customer focused, solutions led and outcome driven;

– High analytical & Complex Problem solving Skills;

– Interpersonal Skills;

– Effective communication skills;

– Time Management Skills;

– Computer Skills;

– fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage

JOB AT NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR HUMAN RIGHTS : Human Rights Promotion Officer : ( Deadline : 18 February 2019 )

 

Job Description

1. Conceive and develop human rights training programs;
2. Elaborate modules and conceive related training practical methods to be used by the Commission;
3. Plan the implementation of the training programs and other related activities;
4. Follow up the implementation of the training programs;
5. Evaluate the impact of the training programs;
6. Prepare and plan the annually commemoration of international human rights days;

 

 




Job Profile
