BOMA International, a vibrant trade association based in downtown Washington, D.C., is seeking a full-time Director of Marketing. The successful candidate will develop and implement innovative marketing strategies and tactics to promote programs, products and membership. This position involves interaction with a dynamic team and across internal departments, as well as with volunteer leadership and BOMA local associations. Qualified candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a marketing and/or communications department of a not-for-profit organization or at a marketing firm. Experience directing association membership marketing campaigns is preferred. They must have excellent writing skills, be creative and detail-oriented and have a demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and projects simultaneously and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with graphic design (including proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud apps), HTML, Higher Logic, iMIS and AP Style a plus.
Responsibilities include:

Developing and implementing marketing campaigns and overseeing the creation of supporting deliverables and marketing collateral for various programs, products and services, including membership marketing.
Overseeing the development of marketing strategies and materials to assist BOMA and its federated local associations across the United States with membership recruitment and retention efforts.
Copywriting for a variety of marketing vehicles, including emails, advertisements, brochures and websites, as well as proofreading and editing content created by staff and an outsourced marketing firm to maintain a consistent organizational voice.
Overseeing the art direction of all marketing materials to ensure adherence to branding guidelines and keep designs fresh and modern.
Tracking key performance metrics for marketing and advertising campaigns and collaborating with staff to adjust strategies as necessary based on digital analytics.
Collaborating with staff on social media content creation, strategy and execution, including copy, graphic elements and videos.
Working together with a creative and energetic team to achieve annual business plan and budget goals. The successful candidate will work directly with the department’s Vice President of Communications, Marketing & Membership.
