Minneapolis, Minnesota, Overview Manage/direct the adjustment of inventory levels of stock and nonstock supplies/equipment throughout the site (to include, but not limited to all patient care areas, surgery, ancillary departments, related clinics).

Make independent judgments and decisions based on analyzing and monitoring inventory levels to authorize volume purchases regarding inventory levels.

Consider labor and acquisition costs in determining appropriate par levels forcost efficient inventory management.

Establish parameters for equipment levels including rental guidelines.

Maintain, verify and update the receiving and distribution records and supplies.

Provide communication to all departments regarding changes and updates relating to product descriptions, number, units of measure, stock additions and deletions, and inventory exceptions to supply pathway/procedure pack configurations.

Provide strong leadership in guiding and supporting department managers in appropriate inventory control to manage costs and meet department fluctuations.

Works directly with vendors, suppliers, corporate materials, and department directors and managers.

Serve as subject matter expert on Materials Management Information System (MMIS).

Recommend process improvements to customers and superiors.

Responsibilities/Job Description Manage/direct/revise inventory levels throughout the site.

Analyze and monitor inventory levels on regular basis and make independent judgments and decisions to authorize volume purchases regarding inventory (par levels).

Maintain proper inventory levels and adjust order quantities on inventory computer systems.

Manage, plan, coordinate and monitor cycle counts and inventories.

Reconcile inventory variances.

Initiate measures to change par levels and/or Omnicell configurations when needed.

Differentiate between routine supply usage and special cause usage.

Establish parameters for equipment levels including rental guidelines Analyze and monitor data reports and develop individualized recommendations for department managers.

Measure and monitor outcome data for process improvement.

Identify and communicate opportunities to improve efficiency of inventory management.

Maintain accurate inventory control reports for depa Maintain, verify and update receiving and distribution records.

Collaborate with stakeholders (point-of-use customers) regarding inventory data, and recommend opportunities for standardization or improvement.

– Collaborate with managers to identify acceptable product substitutions.

Perform daily business functions of materials department.

– Meet customer needs by placing and expediting orders.

– Perform invoice resolution – Maintain MMIS and Omnicell databases and Item Master updates (pricing, billables, profile maintenance) – Receive online orders and reconcile receiving discrepancies.
