Burnsville, Minnesota, Overview This position is responsible for completing the registration process within Patient Access and creating the first impression of Fairview’s services to patients and families and other external customers.
The Patient Access Services (PAS) Representative must be able to articulate information in a manner that patients, guarantors and family members understand and so they know what to expect and have an understanding of their financial responsibilities.
Hours are 3p-1130p and include ever other weekend.
Working a holiday rotation is also required.
Training is during the day time hours for the first 2 weeks of employement.
Responsibilities/Job Description The PAS Representative will be responsible for completing the pre-registration, registration, insurance verification, benefits verification, co-pay collections – – as well as interviewing patients and guarantors to obtain: demographicinformation, insurance information, consents, and any other registration specific needs.
The PAS representative will also work with medical staff, nursing, ancillary departments, insurance payors and other external sources.
Qualifications Required Education High school diploma or GED Experience 1 to 2 years customer service experience and basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet applications and Internet.
