Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Smith Micro is looking for a dynamic Product Marketing Manager to provide marketing leadership for its 3 dynamic product lines that we white label and sell through our Wireless Carrier Partners.
What is the Product Marketing Manager role?
The Product Marketing Manager role is a leadership role in an expanding marketing and design Team, that drives the product marketing strategy and roadmap. The ideal candidate brings leadership and innovation which allows the department to be a center of influence and train product marketing team and the organization on best approach to marketing our products.  We’re looking for an energetic, motivated self-starter that has a passion for mobile technology and can translate the capabilities of our technology solution into sales messaging and positioning.   The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the delivery of consistent messaging that differentiates our product and delivers a strong value proposition in all sales collateral and demos, campaigns and contributes consistent, core messaging to fulfill the product marketing plan. Further, this individual will provide the necessary training and support tools to the Smith Micro team to allow them to consistently and accurately promote our products to wireless carriers. This position requires a combination of strong technical, marketing skills, project/program management, knowledge about the competitive landscape, and deep understanding of consumer personas.  You will be a creative and quantitative thinker who is familiar with various product marketing techniques, like lead generation campaigns and pricing.
What you will do:

Lead the product marketing strategy and roadmap
Study company products, competitor products and competitive landscape, as well as environment influences on market and products
Translate technical information into tangible benefits for the end user which may be worldwide Wireless Carriers, OEM partners and the end consumer
Follow and analyze market trends to position products for greatest market success
Understand sales and product lifecycle and develop go to market strategies that support product releases while identifying opportunities to optimize deeper product penetration and consumer engagement
Develop product marketing strategies (pricing, advertising, product launch, promotion) and use these strategies to build and effective marketing plan for each product line
Craft compelling messages across marketing channels (landing pages, ad campaigns, collateral, digital outreach) – AS DIGITAL OUTREACH BECOMES MORE AND MORE PREVALENT IN OUR BUSINESS CASE EXPERTISE IN THIS AREA IS ESSENTIAL
Work with various teams (design, content, product, sales) to implement strategies
Conduct A/B testing on marketing campaign content and creative
Establish relevant KPIs and use these to evaluate success from existing and prospective customers
Establish a regular cadence of Webinars to communicate and promote our solutions
Work closely with the Marketing Team to initiate and provide Survey Driven analytics 

What you will need:

At least six years proven experience as a Product Marketing Manager, Brand Manager or similar role.  Experience working with value added services within the Wireless Space
Experience with launching successful applications on Both Android & Google
Experience in market analysis
Familiar with product marketing tactics (e.g. integrated marketing campaigns, product launches)
Working knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Firebase, WebTrends, Apptentive and other collaboration tools )
Excellent communication skills and desire to work in a collaborative environment
Keen eye for detail and Creative
Analytical mind and strong quantitative skills
BS/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field
