10 POSITIONS OF SITE MANAGERS AT RUTSIRO DISTRICT: (Deadline 20 March 2020)

Job Description

Work hand in hand with Topographers; Sector and District Technicians to:
1. Identify the area 80.15 hectares to be covered by radical terraces on topographic maps of Karumbi, Satinsyi, Nyenyeri, Kajugujugu and Karuruma villages;
2. Guide Team Supervisors (Abakapita) on how to make radical terraces and progressive terraces, to plant agro
– forestry trees and plants and application of agro inputs
3. Approve attendance lists from Team Supervisors in 15 work days;
4. Follow
– up team supervisors while making radical terraces and submit the report of activities to the project Coordinator at District level;
5. Avoid and reconcile disputes that may arise on field between Team Supervisors and their team members so as to submit unsolved ones to the project Coordinator at District level.

Job Profile

Minimum A2 in Agronomy, Forestry, Soil or Environmental Management.

Key Technical Skills:

– More than three years of working experience is an advantage;

– Ability to operate with local community;

– Topographical Skills;

– Organizational Skills;

– Communication Skills;

– Judgment & Decision Making Skills;

– Time management Skills;

– Team working Skills;

– Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage

2 POSITIONS OF TOPOGRAPHERS AT RUTSIRO DISTRICT: (20 March 2020 )

Job Description

Work hand in hand with Site Managers; Sector and District Agronomists to:
1. Identify the area 80.15 hectares to be covered by radical terraces on topographic maps of Karumbi, Satinskyi, Nyenyeri, Kajugujugu and Karuruma villages;
2. Determine boundaries of each radical terrace according to contour lines;
3. Measure and indicate the boundaries of all Waterways;
4. Identify and measure 67 hectares to be protected by progressive terraces according to the slope and contour lines;
5. Determine boundaries of 31hectares to be covered with agro/forestry plants according to the slope and contour lines.

Job Profile

Minimum A2 in Subjects related to ‘Topography’ such as Construction, Civil Engineering or Public Works.

Key Technical Skills:

– Posses tools such as Theodolite, GPS and Jallon for his/her work is a must.

– More than three years of working experience is an advantage;

– Ability to operate with local community;
