AgroPy Ltd (formerly Agropharm Africa Ltd) was established in 2011 in Musanze, Northern Province, Rwanda. Benefiting from high-quality refined Pyrethrum Pale Extract, AgroPy Ltd produces essential pest control products for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and organic programs. We provide eco-friendly solutions that cater to the agriculture, horticulture, and public health sectors, offering effective control of flies, mosquitoes, and crawling insect pests. Our mission is to help farmers supply clean food produce, contributing to a healthier population, while also ensuring effective pest control for consumers and public health.
AgroPy Ltd is seeking to recruit experienced and competent Pest Control and Production Operators to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Pest Control Operators
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify different pest habitats.
- Determine the appropriate treatment required to eliminate specific pests.
- Advise customers on suitable treatments for identified pests.
- Inspect customers’ premises to identify pest problems.
- Inspect buildings and surrounding environments for signs of pest infestation.
- Measure the area in need of treatment.
- Estimate the cost of services rendered to clients.
- Use various pest control methods, such as setting traps or baits, to remove or kill pests.
- Safely apply pesticides in buildings or structures and the surrounding environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: At least an Advanced Level Certificate (A2).
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in pest control practices.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of pest control machinery such as foggers (both thermal and cold), motorized and pressure pumps, etc.
- Problem-Solving: A logical and independent mind with the motivation and ability to solve complex problems.
- Service Knowledge: Understanding of AgroPy’s pest control services and activities.
- Systematic Approach: Ability to develop and validate new methods systematically.
- Team Skills: Teamwork, responsibility, communication, and presentation skills.
- Sales Skills: Prospecting skills, self-confidence, product knowledge.
- Flexibility: Ability to work at any time of the day.
- Production Operators
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain production equipment.
- Monitor and ensure product quality.
- Handle and store raw materials and finished products.
- Follow safety protocols and use PPE.
- Adhere to production schedules.
- Maintain production records and report issues.
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas.
- Collaborate with other departments.
- Participate in training and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: At least an Advanced Level Certificate (A2).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in production or manufacturing.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating production machinery.
- Quality Control: Ability to perform quality checks and maintain records.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and use of PPE.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Teamwork: Effective communication and collaboration with team members.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in handling materials and maintaining standards.
- Flexibility: Ability to work various shifts and adapt to changing production needs.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to perform manual tasks and operate machinery.
