Head of Information Technology (IT)

Job specifications

The Head of Information Technology role is to plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations that facilitate the stable operation of the CBAR’s IT services. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas; particularly Core Banking Operations, Integration, Channels and all major business applications. In coordination and collaboration with CBA Group IT, external vendors, system experts and information security experts, the Head of IT will schedule and direct activities to resolve software and service problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Support Branches staff in ensuring that Policies, procedures are followed to deliver their respective functions in line with quality, timeliness and cost objectives

Competence requirements

Organization development to effectively structure the operations of IT Application frameworks and support for optimal performance.
Knowledge, Technical skills and experience in modern practices for IT Applications architecture and operations in medium to large banks to provide guidance on quality improvements and strategic changes
Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, a master’s degree in Technology or Business-related course is an added advantage
Minimum 8 years’ experience with 4 years in a managerial role
Certification and experience implementing best practice frameworks e.g. COBIT, ITIL preferred
Five years’ experience in Application support in medium to large organizations.
Hands on and practical knowledge in use of RDBMs e.g. Oracle, MS SQL

Retail Banking Coordinator

Job specifications

The purpose of this role is to drive and deliver exceptional retail business performance, through the provision of efficient business management, powerful leadership, team development and achievement service delivery excellence.
The Retail Banking Coordinator ensures the efficient operations of all CBAR Branches.
The Retail Banking Coordinator may also perform if required the role of Branch Manager

Competence requirements

Leadership to nurture and sustain employee satisfaction, and to manage changes
Selling skills to grow customer numbers and customer product uptake
Relationship Management – managing client relationship so as to ensure value add to the customer and increase in the Bank’s wallet share
Operational Risk Management skills to minimize exposures to and impact of operational risks inherent in branch service delivery
Knowledge and experience in modern service delivery practices in medium to large banks to provide guidance on quality improvements and operational changes
The role is responsible for branches performance in terms of sales, building and maintaining business and customer relationships, soliciting and developing new relationships, promoting the bank’s public image and communication between all locations and bank leadership.
Branch structure and application of established policies, processes, procedures and tools in achieving compliance requirements, optimal efficiency, resource utilization and cost containment

Qualification and Experience Requirements

University Degree – or master’s degree in Business-related course is an added advantage
Proficiency in computer use including MS Office tools and banking systems
At least 8 years banking experience four (4) of which must be in a branch management role; at least four (4) within business development.
