Role overview

The responsibilities of the role include overseeing project implementation within the country, ensuring adherence to deliverables, timeframe, and budget, while also managing quality assurance processes, risk management, and donor reporting. Additionally, the position involves developing and implementing a youth engagement strategy, maintaining compliance with operational standards and government regulations, representing the organization externally and internally, and leading and supporting partnership and policy dialogue processes.

Ideal Applicant Summary

The deal candidate candidate should have the following experience and skills
Experience and Skills
• Degree in international development, community development, social studies, or equivalent.
• Project donor management
• Management skills with strong development programming experience in one of more of the following thematic areas: Health, Education, Secure Livelihoods & Resilience
• Leadership and people management skills in working across multiple cultural contexts
• Project financial and budget management
• Evidence based decision making

Role overview

To provide HR advice, guidance, and administrative support for the full spectrum of HR activity for project employees and volunteers.

Ideal Applicant Summary

Qualifications and experience:
• Relevant qualification in human resources and/or organisational development.
• Substantial professional senior experience in HR including resourcing experience with good understanding of relevant local HR legislation.
• Experience of providing HR services to a multicultural project team with familiarity of donor requirements and reporting on people and safeguarding issues.
• Experience in managing complaints, duty of care, safeguarding incidents to the highest international standards including conducting investigation and disciplinary management.
• Experience of supporting managers in planning and delivery of learning and development for their teams

Knowledge and skills:
• Good IT literacy (Microsoft) and experience of using HR information Systems.
• Good leadership, communication, engagement, and collaboration with ability to work in multi-cultural project team in a networked way of working in a global organisation.
• Coaching, mentoring & facilitation skills.
• Ability to travel to project sites across Rwanda, involving time away from home.
