This bursary covers between 25% and 30% of the registered tuition fees for up to two years of the Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Nautical Science) or Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Marine Engineering). Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Nautical Science) – Navigation Cadet Training Program (first and second year of the bachelor’s course)

• 30% reduction in registered tuition fees for year 1 and 2.

Year 2 (Deck Watchkeeper)

• 30% reduction in registered tuition fees for students entering year 2.

Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) – Engine Cadet Training Program (first and second year of the bachelor’s course)

• 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for year 1 and 2

Year 2 (Engine Watchkeeper)

• 25% reduction in registered tuition fees for students entering year 2.

Requirements for Australian Maritime College (AMC) Bursary Qualification

To be eligible, you must meet all of the following criteria:

• Be classified as an International Student as defined under the Application rules of the University of Tasmania.
• Must be commencing either year 1 or year 2 of the Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Nautical Science) or Advanced Diploma of Applied Science (Marine Engineering) in 2025.
• Must be enrolled full-time.
• Not be in receipt of any other University of Tasmania bursary (with the exception of the English Language Package bursary).
• Not be commencing at the University of Tasmania through an articulation agreement with a partner institution.
