2025 Feminist Centre for Racial Justice Activist-in-Residence Programme(Deadline: 30 September, 2025)
Applications are open for the Feminist Centre for Racial Justice Activist-in-Residence (AiR) Programme 2025. The Activist-in-Residence initiative at FCRJ encourages mutual learning and collaboration between activists, policy makers and academics. The goal is to enhance public oriented work that enhances community engagement around the consequences of racism and racialisation.
This year’s AiR programme offers a remote fellowship to two activists for a six-month period. They are inviting two separate applications on two distinct initiatives. During this time, the two activists will be expected to develop an action-oriented research project that is aligned with FCRJ’s research priority areas and co-create a showcase event with FCRJ.
Benefits
- Each AiR will be offered a fellowship worth £3,000 to produce a project which could be a repository/archive of resources on a specific event/issue, developing and curating an exhibition; creating a short film, completing a scoping study, developing policy briefs and primers to support an existing advocacy initiative.
Eligibility
- They welcome applications from the African continent.
- The project must demonstrate its value to a community that you are actively engaged in and/or will support an existing community organising initiative.
- Co-organise with FCRJ a showcase that brings together a public community including those you engaged with at the end of the fellowship.
- Team applications are welcome for one fellowship.
