Umeå University is providing a great opportunity through the Postdoctoral Scholarships in Cryo-EM of Photosynthetic Protein Complexes. The opportunity is available to talented students for the academic year 2025-2026.
To be eligible for the postdoctoral scholarship, applicants must hold a PhD or an equivalent degree in Structural Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related field. The degree should have been awarded within the last three years, unless special circumstances apply. Candidates must have experience in structural biology, cryo-EM, or photosynthetic water oxidation research, and possess strong communication skills in English.

Admissible Criteria: Applicants must:

Hold a doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent in Structural Biology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.

Have completed their doctoral degree within the last 3 years (exceptions apply for special circumstances).

Demonstrate experience in structural biology, cryo-EM, or studies related to photosynthetic water oxidation.

Possess strong skills in scientific communication and the ability to work collaboratively in an international research environment.

Merit will be given to those with backgrounds in biophysics, cryo-EM sample prep/data analysis, cyanobacteria handling, and manuscript writing.
