
2025 United Nations Talent Pipeline Programme for early career professionals: (Deadline 4 May, 2025)
Applications are now open for the 2025 United Nations Young Talent Pipeline Programme. The UN Talent Pipeline is a capacity-building programme designed to help professionals from developing countries that are considered unrepresented or underrepresented within the UN Secretariat increase their readiness for UN career opportunities. Through targeted training, mentorship, and networking opportunities, this programme will strengthen your job applications and enhance your competitiveness in the UN recruitment process. By joining, you will contribute to a more diverse UN workforce in the future.
The initiative aims to build a robust pipeline of qualified candidates from unrepresented and underrepresented developing Member States.
Eligibility Requirements
- Mid-career professional from a United Nations Member State considered as developing and unrepresented or underrepresented (see the list)
- Hold a Master’s degree with at least five years of relevant experience (or seven years with a Bachelor’s degree).
- You have an educational background that aligns with the talent pipeline you are applying for.
- Have at least an intermediate level of English in all four areas (reading, writing, listening and speaking).

Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Bahrain, Belize, Brunei Darussalam, China, Cuba, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Dominica, Equatorial Guinea, Grenada, Guines-Bissau, Indonesia, Kiribati, Kuwait, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Libya, Marshall Islands, Micronesia (Federated States of), Nauru, Oman, Palau, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay, Qatar, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, Tuvalu, United Arab Emirates, Vanuatu.
Programme Details
- Participation in the programme does not require any financial commitment from either side. However, once accepted into the talent pipeline, members must fully commit to completing a structured training and capacity-building programme, requiring approximately three to five hours per month over a three to six-month period.
- The training will include a combination of self-paced learning and instructor-led virtual group webinars. While participation in the programme does not guarantee employment within the UN Secretariat, the skills and knowledge gained through the training may enhance candidates’ competitiveness for UN positions.
