Details of the USA Marshall Scholarships 2026
Marshall Scholarships, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom.
Every year, up to fifty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at an UK institution in any field of study.
The program aims to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in science, technology, the humanities and social sciences and the creative arts at Britain’s centres of academic excellence.

Eligibility Requirements for Marshall Scholarships 2026
To be considered for the USA Marshall Scholarships, you must:
- Be U.S. citizens by the time of application.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year U.S. college or university by September 2026.
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.7 (non-rounded).
- Have graduated after April 2023.
- Not have previously studied for a degree in the UK.

How to Apply for USA Marshall Scholarships 2026 (Step by Step)
To apply for the Marshall Scholarships to study in the UK, here is a step-by-step guide;

- Complete the online application form and submitting it through the system to your undergraduate institution.
- The institution will then ensure that the application is complete and make a decision whether they wish to endorse the application or not.
- If the Institution elects to endorse the application, they will add a letter of endorsement on your behalf and will then submit it through the system to the appropriate regional committee.
- You are advised to contact their undergraduate institution as soon as possible if they are considering applying for a Marshall Scholarship.
- Applications will be received and reviewed at eight regional centres in the United States.
- Shortlisted candidates will be notified if they have been selected for interview by early to mid-November.
