Job Description
Responsible for the review of the consultancy services for the design, tender and construction supervision of storm water drainage and other urban infrastructure measures; Review the project preparation technical assistance report (PPTA) and prepare a plan for detailed studies and project implementation; Prepare and finalize the detailed TORs for design and construction supervision for the service contract for improved hydraulic design standards and assist in the selection and recruitment of the consultants; Coordinate the team of international and national experts for the provision of the consulting services within the given timeframe. Carry out works to manage local flood risks in relation to major or small water courses within either sub
– catchments; Assess and investigate flash flooding incidents and publish the results of such investigations; Assess, revise and estimate the overall cost of the proposed flood control works; Work closely with Topographer in the development of longitudinal surveys for flood infrastructures planned/updated as required to sufficient detail to allow design and costing; Conduct flood surveys and flood plain delineations and hazard area mapping zones susceptible to flooding; Provide river channel analyses and design for any development and flood control; Design mitigation strategies to maintain the storage of flood waters and increased runoff from development creating flood
