GENOCIDE STUDIES AND PREVENTION RESEARCH FELLOW AT NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST GENOCIDE : ( Deadline : 13 December 2019 )

 

Job Description

• Conduct research into the prevention of genocide, the nature, causes and consequences of genocide
• Investigates the links between genocide and other violations of human rights.
• Advises, where necessary, policy makers and international visitors.
• Developing project proposals on genocide prevention and study.
• Develop school materials related to genocide prevention.
• Write and publish papers related to findings.
• Collaborate with fellow researchers to further study and give advice where requested or required.
• Performing other tasks assigned by the CNLG or the Centre.

 

Job Profile

PHD or Master ‘s degree in Genocide studies and Prevention, Conflict Management, Public Administration, Administrative
Sciences, Political sciences, Sociology,Social work, Education Science, History, Genocide Studies, Anthropology, Literature
with 2 years of working experience and 2 Scientific Papers published.
Key Technical Skills & Knowledge required:

– Knowledge of research methodology;

– Having background in theories linked to genocide studies;

– Clear writing style and critical thinking;

– Conflict Management skills

– Conflict Resolution skills ;

– Report writing and presentation skills;

– Coordination, planning and organisational skills;

– Interpersonal skills;

– Collaboration and team working skills;

– Effective communication skills;

– Administrative skills;

– Time management skills;

– Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; knowledge of all is an advantage

Any other task requested by the authority of the CNLG in order to help achieve its objectives

CNLG DISTRICT COORDINATORS AT NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST GENOCIDE : ( Deadline : 13 December 2019 )

 

Job Description

Provide coordination of all CNLG activities in the District that you are representing

– Offer the service if necessary counseling to
report on each need for site maintenance

– Make a detailed report on the performed activities and
ensure that all site environment is always informed about ongoing activities of CNLG

– Oversee the maintenance of particular graves during the rainy season and during the period of commemoration

– Analyze and develop strategies and adequate measures for the stability and the preservation of memory and the promotion of visits to the memorial site

– Develop and support the means of self financing memorial site
any other task assigned by the CNLG
To be the focal point of CNLG at the local level
To collaborate with CNLG partners

Job Profile

“A0 in Genocide Studies, History, Sociology, Rural Development Studies, Political Science, Education Science, Sciences and Arts.
