5 Job Positions of Professional in charge Data Analytics at Rwanda revenue Authority(RRA): (Deadline 3 April 2023)
Purpose
A Professional in charge of data analytics is the principal technical expert in Data Science unit. Under the supervision of Director for Data Science unit, the professional in charge of data analytics develops applications (dashboards) for monitoring Taxpayers’ compliance, develops applications to help other users conduct analysis of Taxpayers’ compliance, extracts and analyses data from RRA systems and develops predictive models on Taxpayers’ compliance.
Key duties and responsibilities
Identify how to best leverage RRA extensive data sources and turn ideas into data products to improve compliance, revenue collection and the understanding of taxpayers’ behavior
Coordinate with business side partners in the operational departments to conceive, plan, prioritize and deliver projects aimed at improving compliance and revenue collection
Conduct workshops and presentations to share the progress, key findings, impact of projects and collect inputs from business side partners
Work with business side partners in the operational departments to automate repetitive tasks, analysis, and reports that needs to be automated so as to speed up the process
Design and develop dashboards to monitor RRA operations and business risks on real time and help the management to take data-driven decisions
Mine, analyze large data sets using advanced techniques like machine learning models, identify the business gap, draw inferences and recommendations
Use artificial intelligence to develop advanced tools to detect fraud and to improve taxpayers’ compliance
Validate and monitor data quality, work closely with the IT department to correct and mitigate identified quality issues
Ensure the tools, dashboards, automated reports, and other solutions developed are continuously updated to meet the needs of RRA
Use appropriate agile management techniques to plan, manage, deliver and generate learning from data science projects
Use gitlab to manage and monitor source codes of all tasks so as to ensure the security of them
Use best coding and software practices to ensure source codes are clean, maintainable, and reusable; and projects or tools developed can be easily scaled up
Document the projects and tools developed to enable other developers contribute on them; and develop the manuals for the end user where applicable
Plan your weekly and monthly priorities, produce monthly and weekly reports of achievements, and share the reports to the supervisor
Carry out any other task assigned by the supervisor
