Its mission is to promote quality financial services to small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in order to contribute to the improvement of their socio-economic living conditions and to remain a sustainable and self-sufficient institution.
To strengthen its human resources, INKUNGA FINANCE Plc is seeking to recruit the following staff:
ACCOUNTANT (1 Post)
Key responsibilities
- Input accounting entries in the core banking system at branch level;
- Ensure the proper keeping of all accounting support documents;
- Ensure the proper recording of accounting transactions in accordance to accounting principles;
- Conduct daily cash control and sign in the cash register journal jointly with the cashier;
- Prepare bank payment orders, internal checks to be issued and invoices at branch level;
- In collaboration with the branch manager, organize and coordinate the opening and closing of accounts;
- Manage the safe jointly with the cashier or alternatively with Branch Manager;
- Ensure cash management in respect to internal policy and the insurance contract in place;
- Based on financial and accounting policy, prepare different payments at the branch level;
- Keep bank securities and other confidential documents in the safe;
- Supervise or perform on daily basis journal/accounting transactions at the Branch level;
- Ensure the proper classification of all the branch’s accounting documents;
- Participate in the annual closing of account and prepare the financial statement reports;
- Conduct the reconciliation of branch’s bank account and all internal account;
- Conduct the interim of the Branch Manager in his/her absence;
- Report to the branch manager on time for prevention purposes;
- Accomplish all other activities entrusted to him/her by his/her superior in the interests of institution.
Requirements
- Be a Rwandan;
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance and management with 2 years working experience as accountant or in cash management;
- Having CPA, ACCA, CAT or any other professional certificate will be an added value;
- Have a good character in working with financial institutions (meaning no non-performing or written off loans);
- Fluent in French or English, knowledge of two languages would be an advantage;
- Aged between 21 years and 45 years;

To strengthen its human resources, INKUNGA FINANCE Plc is seeking to recruit the following staff:
LOAN OFFICER (3 VACANT POSTS)
Key Responsibilities
Under the supervision of Branch Manager, he (she) will be responsible for:
- Ensure the initial contact with potential customers and explain to them all requirements in loan application process;
- Carry out field visits at clients’ businesses and domiciles to ensure their capacities in loan reimbursement;
- Analyze credit application files and help eligible customers complete the files;
- Ensure the client’s eligibility based on an in-depth analysis of 5 Cs;
- Visit clients’ business places and loan collateral then confirm real value of properties.
- Constitute the credit application files and make its proposal to the credit committee for analysis and approval;
- Draw up loan contracts and get them signed;
- Ensure credit disbursements and inform customers;
- Ensure the high quality of loan portfolio;
- Ensure the proper delivery of services and customer satisfaction;
- Make the list of non-performing/written off loans and establish the schedule and plan for their recovery and submit the execution report to the Branch Manager;
- Establish monthly credit risk situations according to the format of the central Bank or requirements of the partner of INKUNGA FINANCE Plc;
- Ensure the growth of the deposit and loan portfolio through clients’ mobilization and promotion of INKUNGA FINACE Plc products;
- Report to the Branch Manager.
Requirements
- Must be a Rwandan;
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or an A1 diploma in Rural development, Finance, Accounting, Agri-business, managements and education;
- Must have proof of experience of at least two years’ experience for A0, at least three years’ experience for A1 preferably in in financial management, fund mobilization, advocacy, education or credit management.
- Must have driving permit category A;
- Have a good character in working with financial institutions (meaning no non-performing or written off loans);
- Fluent in French or English, knowledge of two languages would be an advantage;
- Aged between 21 years and 45 years;

CASHIERS (2 VACANT POSTS)
Key responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Branch Manager, s/he will be responsible for:
- Customer care ;
- Correctly manage the cash entrusted to him or her by keeping from time to time the source documents justifying cash flow;
- Recording deposits, withdrawals and reimbursement transactions in client passbooks;
- Ensuring that the strong room keys are properly kept in conjunction with the Accountant or the Branch Manager;
- Keeping and classifying supporting documents for operating expenses;
- Ensure that journal and accounting transactions are done properly;
- Ensure that payments done at branch level are authorized by competent Officer;
- Maintaining cash history ;
- Ensure that loan collaterals and cheque books are properly and safely kept;
- Closing the cash register at the end of daily activities and ensuring the compliance of the physical balances of the cash register and those of the financial management system;
- Facilitating the exercise of permanent cash control;
- Participating in the development of the Branch’s action plan and budget;
- Ensuring the interim of the accountant;
- Reporting to the Branch Manager;
Requirements
- Be a Rwandan;
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Banking, Microfinance or related fields, or an A1 diploma with 2 years’ experience or an A2 certificate with at least 5 years’ experience in cash management or accounting.
- Have a good character in working with financial institutions (meaning no non-performing or written off loans);
- Fluent in French or English, knowledge of two languages would be an advantage;
- Aged between 21 years and 40 years;
