About the University Of Ottawa International English Scholarship
The University of Ottawa is proud of its internationally diverse student body. International students studying in English can receive up to $70,000 in scholarships, offering a significant reduction in their tuition.
The University of Ottawa currently offers two scholarships to newly admitted students studying in undergraduate programs offered in English: the International English Admission Scholarship and the International English Academic Excellence Scholarship.
All students who are eligible for this scholarship will automatically receive it upon enrolment. It will be applied directly to their tuition fees.
2026 University of Ottawa Scholarship Requirements
You must meet the following requirements to apply for the University of Ottawa International English Scholarship;
- Be an international student with a valid study permit.
- Be newly admitted for the Winter 2026 term or later in an approved English-language undergraduate program in one of the following faculties: Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences or the Telfer School of Management.
- Have a minimum admission average of 80%.
- Not enrol in the French immersion stream.
- Be enrolled full-time.

- Apply for admission to programs in Arts, Engineering, Health Sciences, Science, Social Sciences or the Telfer School of Management.
- After submitting your application, the university will generate a Student Number for you.
- Use your Student Number to log in to the school’s portal, UOZone, and submit your results and required documents for review.
- Upon successful review, you will receive a conditional admission offer, which will include details about the scholarship based on your average.
