Rwanda Revenue Authority is seeking to recruit self-motivated, qualified person to fill the post of:
GROUP LEADER REVENUE ASSURANCE (1 POSITION)
The Post is on Grade 7
Under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner for Finance, the Group Leader Revenue Assurance establishes and implements a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of RRA’s revenue cycle to ensure proper revenue reporting and utilization.
Responsibilities:
Conduct an analysis on RRA financial performance
Examine and analyze records to identify revenue leakage, errors and any other irregularities that might interfere with collections or billings.
Analyze the RRA’s financial records to gauge their accuracy and ensure that payments are made in a timely manner.
Monitor the implementation of the audit recommendations.
Evaluate and interpret data concerning RRA’s current and future financial trends.
Manage other responsibilities as needed under the purview of the Management
Gather and review financial data on revenue collection.
Prepare reports on revenue trends and collections/ Revenue Accountability Statement (RAS).
Implementation of both internal and external auditors during their audit engagements.
Close follow up on the implementation of QMS, internal and external audit
Preparation of assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit and completion of requested materials for annual external audit.
Provide important insights into management financial decisions for RRA.
Present reports on the RRA’s overall economic trends to help formulate investment plans and reach the intended goals and objectives.
Provide assistance on fraud investigations, revenue recovery, and other revenue assurance
Completion of requested materials for annual external audit and provision of required information to auditors.
Contribute to department and organization special projects as assigned by management.
Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
Qualifications, skills and competencies;
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related business area. Certified Public Accountant (CPA] ACCA) certification is compulsory.
Minimum of 2 years experience in revenue auditing is required;
Strong analytical and accounting skills;
Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to summarize and present complex financial data in an organized, concise manner;
Ability to work independently and have the ability to interact with co-workers, management, Internal and external auditors and regulators;
Adherence to policies and procedures;
Team player.
