
Africa Extractives Media Fellowship 2025/2026 for Early to mid-career journalists (Deadline: 30 September, 2025)
Applications are now open for the 2025/2026 Africa Extractives Media Fellowship. The AEMF is a 6-month intensive journalism training programme designed to strengthen reporting on Africa’s extractive industries. The fellowship combines:
- Expert-led training sessions
- Mentorship from industry leaders
- Field reporting opportunities
- Networking with stakeholders from government, industry, and civil society
This initiative is led by NewsWire Africa in partnership with leading institutions and organizations committed to transparency, sustainability, and good governance.
Requirements
- Early to mid-career journalists based in Ghana
- Reporters working in print, broadcast, digital, or multimedia platforms
- Strong interest in extractives, climate change, energy transition, or sustainable development
- Women journalists are especially encouraged to apply
