African Climate Stories Fellowship is a flagship program aimed at sparking creative actions and inspiring stories to address pressing environmental challenges across communities in Africa.

Through this 2024 call for applications, 30 Fellows will be selected from across Africa for an immersive project-based fellowship experience. All fellowship sessions will be conducted virtually in a span of 6 weeks. By the end of the Fellowship, curated projects will be exhibited and showcased for visibility and support at the African Climate Stories Festival in December.

Program Details

Each cohort lasts 16 weeks. The first 5 weeks consists of an induction program and an online learning curriculum designed to deepen and challenge your thinking around environmental and climate change issues and how to use diverse forms of storytelling mediums to capture each issue in the best way that suits the target audience of your story. You will interact with other storytellers in your cohort and have one-on-one sessions with some of the fellowship’s faculty.
