Amateur Photographer of the Year Competition 2022: (Deadline 4 November 2022)
Amateur Photographer magazine invites amateur photographers from around the world to enter its annual competition for the chance to win monthly prizes, exposure in the magazine, and the title of ‘Amateur Photographer of the Year 2022’.
Prizes
The winner of each round in APOY 2022 will receive a £500 voucher from MPB.
The second-placed photographer in each round will win a £100 (GBP) voucher, and the third will receive a £50 (GBP) voucher.
The overall winner of APOY 2022, will win a £1,000 voucher from MPB and will be crowned Amateur Photographer of the Year 2022.

Eligibility
- The 10 rounds are open to ‘amateur’ photographers of all ages and nationalities. ‘Amateur’ in this context means photography is your hobby, and not your primary source of income.
- Photographers aged between 13 and 21 on 4th November 2022 are welcome to enter the ‘Young Amateur Photographer of the Year’ category in each round, which is free to enter.
- Any entrant under 18 on the date when they enter must gain the permission of a parent or guardian to enter the competition. People under the age of 13 are not permitted to register on the Photocrowd platform.
- Employees or agents of Kelsey Media Ltd. and Photocrowd, their families, or other persons connected with this promotion are not eligible to enter.
- Proof of eligibility must be provided upon request. Use of a false name or other false details will result in disqualification.

- Wildlife: Opens 13th August | Closes 9th September 2022
- Street: Opens 10th September | Closes 7th October 2022
- Action: Opens 8th October | Closes 4th November 2022
Entry fees
The cost is based on the number of images you want to enter. Entries are bought in advance and can then be used at any time before midnight on 4th November 2022.
1 image – £8
3 images – £21 (£7 per image)
9 images – £36 (£4 per image)
24 images – £66 (£2.75 per image)
