Empowering African changemakers to build strong, sustainable fundraising systems

The Africa Impact Fundraising (AIF) Grant Program is a bold new initiative by the New Africa Fund, created to equip grassroots organizations across Africa with the fundraising tools, training, and matching funds they need to thrive.

This program is designed for registered NGOs, community-based organizations, and social enterprises based in one of the 55 African Union member states.

What to Expect

Selected organizations will begin with a comprehensive online training on launching small-donor campaigns. They’ll then participate in a 30-day fundraising challenge with the opportunity to receive up to $5,000 USD in matching funds from the New Africa Fund.

Top performers will be invited to a week-long in-person workshop in Kigali, Rwanda, covering key topics such as:

• Fundraising strategy & campaign development

• Financial management

• Marketing & donor communications

• Grant writing & donor research

• Individual giving and local fundraising methods

• Donor cultivation & long-term retention

• Up to 70 organizations receive expert online training

• 30-day fundraising challenge with up to $5,000 USD in matching funds

• 12 months of free fiscal sponsorship from the New Africa Fund

• Up to 10 organizations selected for an in-depth training retreat in Kigali

• Ongoing performance-based fundraising opportunities

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a legally registered organization in an African Union member state

• Must be able to participate in online training and a 30-day challenge

• Must provide required documentation (see below)
