Each year, the College awards academic scholarships, excellence scholarships, endowed scholarships, and special recognition scholarships to students who display exceptional character, leadership, and ability.

Applications for 2027 Scholarships at Scotch College Adelaide will open on Monday, 13 October 2025, giving both new and current students the chance to apply across various entry levels.

These are school-level scholarships (not university). They are offered for entry into Year 4–11 depending on the scholarship type.

Types of Scholarships at Scotch College Adelaide

1. Academic Scholarships

Awarded to students of outstanding academic potential, these scholarships recognise excellence across multiple disciplines. Selection is based on academic examination results, interviews, and evidence of strong engagement in school life.

2. Excellence Scholarships

These scholarships celebrate excellence in academics, sport, performing arts, music, dance, or community service. Recipients must demonstrate a strong work ethic, leadership qualities, and commitment to Scotch College values.

3. Old Collegians’ Scholarship

Available to students entering Year 10, this scholarship is exclusive to descendants (children or grandchildren) of Old Collegians who are members of the Old Collegians’ Association.

4. Personal Endeavour Scholarship

Open to students entering Year 4, 5, or 6 in 2027, this award recognises young learners with a strong work ethic, leadership, and academic consistency.

5. Future Endowed Scholarships (Available from 2027 onwards)

• David Freebairn Memorial Scholarship – For Year 9 entry in 2029.
• Scotch College Foundation Scholarship – For Year 7–10 entry in 2029.
• Colin & Alexandra Hamilton Scholarship – For Year 7 or 8 entry in 2029.

These endowed scholarships provide life-changing opportunities for students who may not otherwise be able to attend Scotch.

Eligible Nationalities

Scholarships are open to both Australian and international students. Scotch College Adelaide has a CRICOS registration (00615B), which means it officially accepts international enrolments.
