Book Industry Promotion Officer at Rwanda Cultural Heritage Academy: (Deadline 11 March 2022)

Job description

1. Promote the development of the book industry,
 Ensure the Rwanda National book policy is implemented;
 Develop strategies to increase production, marketing of books, its accessibility to the people and markets in the Rwanda and abroad;
 Develop programs to promote authorship and book industry in Rwanda;
 Increase technology in book chain.

2. Conduct researches and market survey,
 Set up mechanisms to implement and evaluate book industry promotion strategies;
 Analyze and publish the economic, social and cultural impacts of the publishing, printing, distribution and use of books and other printed materials on the development of the Rwandan population;
 Publish the findings from researches and surveys.

3. Propose a resources mobilization strategy,
 Seek for information about potential partners and sponsors
 Encourage school and libraries to buy books published in Rwanda;
 Ensure books industry fund is established and facilitate book industry stakeholders.

4. Develop capacity development strategy for the book industry.
 Organize literary talent detection among Rwandans children and youths;
 Improve capacity building of book industry stakeholders;
 Conduct trainings on book industry promotion for all contributors to stakeholders;
 Facilitate books industry stakeholders to establish platforms (online, forum,…) for exchange experience, awareness, marketing of books and services, and the industry in general.

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts and Publishing

      Experience: 0

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management

      Experience: 0

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Library Sciences

      Experience: 0
