California Institute of Technology: Financial Aid For Global Students: (Deadline Varies)
California Institute of Technology Financial Aid
California Institute of Technology Financial Aid is based on demonstrated financial need, ensuring full support for educational costs. Caltech meets 100% of each student’s demonstrated need, covering tuition, room, board, and additional expenses. While merit-based scholarships are not offered, the university provides various forms of need-based aid, including grants, scholarships, and work-study opportunities, with minimal loan use. For U.S. students, Caltech’s admissions process is need-blind, but financial need is considered for international students. Applicants must submit the FAFSA and CSS Profile, along with any additional required documentation, by the same deadlines as their admissions applications.
International students who want to apply for financial aid must do so as an incoming first-year. If you do not apply for aid as a first-year, or if you apply but do not qualify for aid as a first-year, you will not be permitted to apply for aid in subsequent years at Caltech. There is no financial aid available for international students who apply for admission as a transfer or 3/2.
