Call for Applications: 5th UNCTAD Youth Forum 2025 (Deadline: Not Specified)

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is thrilled to announce the 5th UNCTAD Youth Forum, held alongside UNCTAD16 in Geneva. This global gathering will bring together dynamic young people from around the world to engage in high-level discussions on inclusive and sustainable development.

This year’s theme:
“Shaping the Future for Equitable, Inclusive & Sustainable Development”

Young changemakers will have the opportunity to contribute ideas, share experiences, and propose solutions to some of the world’s most pressing trade and development challenges.

Why You Should Apply

Selected participants will:

• Take part in interactive plenary sessions and youth-led panels
• Collaborate with UN officials, policymakers, business leaders, and civil society
• Engage with fellow youth leaders from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds
• Contribute to building a youth declaration that will influence global policy debates
• Attend the UNCTAD16 Conference, gaining insight into multilateral trade and development processes

Who Can Apply

To be eligible, applicants must:

• Be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the forum
• Demonstrate a strong interest in trade, development, sustainability, social justice, or global governance
• Have a good command of English (working language of the forum)
• Be willing and able to participate actively in all sessions

Note: This is a self-funded opportunity. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and visa arrangements. A limited number of sponsorships may be available based on funding and need.
