Call for Applications: Falling Walls Lab Toronto 2025: (Deadline 24 July, 2025)

Applications are open for the Falling Walls Lab Toronto 2025. Where the World’s Brightest Minds Meet to Shape the Future: The Falling Walls Science Summit is the international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral forum for global science leaders. They debate on the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall: Which are the next walls to fall?

Which wall will your research break? Pitch your innovative idea in just three minutes, showcasing a breakthrough that positively impacts science and society.

Benefits

• Present your research project, business plan, or social initiative in just three minutes using three slides to a jury.
• Engage in exciting discussions and network with fellow innovators and experts from different disciplines.
• The winner will travel to Berlin, Germany (travel & accommodation covered), pitch their idea at the Falling Walls Lab Finale, and attend the Falling Walls Conference with global leaders in science, industry, and policy-making.

Eligibility

• Open to students and early-career professionals of all disciplines.
• You must be 18 years or older when submitting your application. 

You must fulfil at least one of the following formal requirements:

• You are currently enrolled in university.
• You are currently a postdoc.
• You received a Bachelor’s degree no more than 10 years ago.
• you received a Master’s degree no more than 7 years ago.
• You received a PhD no more than 5 years ago.

*An MD (medical degree excl. a doctoral dissertation) is deemed equivalent to a Master’s degree. A Dr. med. (medical degree incl. a doctoral dissertation) is deemed equivalent to a PhD. The global diversity of academic degrees is acknowledged.
