About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and visionary individual under the age of 35 to serve as our next Secretary-General. If you are passionate about environmental advocacy, youth empowerment, and social justice, this is your opportunity to lead impactful change across Europe.

This is a strategic leadership role where you’ll oversee our Secretariat, support the Executive Board, manage our finances and partnerships, and represent our values internationally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, HR, and working with NGOs or international bodies.

Work Arrangements

• Contract: 12-month full-time (40h/week), renewable

• Provisional Period: 3 months

• Salary: 73,150 CZK gross/month (approx. €2955.80 EUR)

• Work Location: Remote possible depending on residence and tax status

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be younger than 35 years old

• Be proficient in English

• Reside in Europe (preferably with an EU work permit)

• Be aligned with YEE’s values and mission

Your Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy: Provide strategic direction and mission alignment

• Management: Supervise Secretariat operations, HR, and team coordination

• Operations: Oversee administrative systems and internal processes

• Partnerships: Build relationships with funders, NGOs, EU and UN bodies

• Representation: Advocate and represent YEE at international events

• Finance: Manage budgets and secure grants

You bring:

• A strong commitment to climate justice, youth rights, and equity

• Demonstrated experience in:

  • Leading diverse teams

  • Project and program management

  • NGO collaboration and institutional partnership building

  • Financial oversight and HR decisions

• Familiarity with non-formal education and human rights education

Extra Assets

• Experience as a Secretary-General or senior leader in a youth NGO

• Background in creating policies, statutory documents, or legal frameworks
