Aim and Benefits of Major Entrance Scholarships

Cape Breton University is proud to offer a variety of scholarships and bursaries to assist our students in the pursuit of their educational goals. Our donors truly believe in the value of education. These are just a few examples of the scholarships and bursaries available to CBU students.

Requirements for Major Entrance Scholarships Qualification

• Applicants must have received an acceptance letter for the applied programme from CBU.
• Applicants must have scored a minimum score of 65% in their previous academic engagements to be admitted in CBU.
• Applicants are required to attain minimum scores in the following English language proficiency tests:
  • TOEFL IBT – 80
  • TOEFL PBT – 550
  • TEOFL CBT – 213
  • CAEL – 60
  • IELTS – 6.5
  • MELAB – 85

Documents Required for Application

All entering students who wish to be considered for entrance scholarships must submit the following in addition to an admission application.

• Official transcript
• Financial need application for those interested in bursaries
