The CERN Student Internship Program in Switzerland is a fully free internship program for International Students from all over the world. Details of the covered expenses are given below:

• A visit of 8 to 13 weeks to work on a technical project will be provided.
• A 90 CHF per calendar day (without tax).
• The travel allowance will be paid at the end of the program for the cost of travel between Geneva and your residence.
• Health Insurance scheme.
• Free Accommodation.
• The students who are paid directly from a national funding agency have to come to CERN with their insurance coverage.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for a place on the programme, you will need to meet the following requirements:

• The applicant must be a Bachelor’s or Master’s student (not PhD) in Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics and should have completed, by the European Summer 2025, a minimum of three years of full-time studies at the university level.
• The applicants will remain registered as students during their stay at CERN. If the student expects to graduate during the European summer of 2025 (as of May), he/she is also eligible to apply.
• The applicants have not worked at CERN before with any other status (Technical Student, Trainee, User or other status) for more than 3 months, and you have not been previously a Summer Student at CERN.
• Must have a good knowledge of English, knowledge of French would be preferred
