ChangemakerXchange AI MENA Programme 2025 for young Changemakers: (Deadline: 16 April, 2025)

Applications are now open for the 2025 ChangemakerXchange AI MENA Cohort. Thi s regional cohorts bring together young changemakers, offering them tailored support and connections with AI experts, to improve their teams’ ‘AI readiness’ and adopt new solutions for their initiatives. At the heart of ChangemakerXchange is a vibrant close-knit community of 1500+ people from 130+ countries working on a vast range of issues, as well as hundreds of partners on all continents of the world.

The ChangemakerXchange.AI programme is aimed at young changemakers aged 18-35 improving their communities and the world through social and environmental action. We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

• This programme supports social and environmental changemakers through bespoke AI upskilling.
• Participants are invited to join the ChangemakerXchange.AI online cohort from May to November 2025
• Eligibility criteria:
• The current and future impact of the organization, as well as the potential for AI to enhance its work and/or reduce the burden on the team.
• The motivation and willingness of the team and founder to innovate and integrate AI tools.
• Basic tech savviness of the team.

Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen

Programme Elements

 The programme consists of three key elements:

• Hub & Online Resources: These are completely free and open to everyone—no registration required (more information September 2025).
• Masterclasses: Also free and available to all, but you’ll need to register in advance as spots are limited (more information September 2025).
• Cohorts: Participation is by application only. ChangemakerXchange conducts a selection process, and only selected changemakers can join and fully benefit from this experience (applications open)

Benefits

• ChangemakerXchange will cover ALL COSTS associated with the cohort and programme, such as: capacity-building, programme manager compensation, specialists compensation, facilitation compensation, and post-cohort community engagement activities.

Programme Timeline:

• Kick-Off Call: 15th May 2025 – A 2-hour online call to welcome all participants from our MENA programme, get to know each other, and outline the next steps.
• Public Announcement of Participants: Last week of May 2025.
• Needs Assessment and Customised Support: May to October 2025.
• Masterclasses: 30th of September to 18th of November 2025.
• Launch of our online resource page: September 2025
• Closing Ceremony: 25th November 2025 – A 2-hour online call to officially conclude the programme.

Application TImeline:

• Application Phase: 18th March to 16th April 2025.
• Deadline for Applications: 16th April 2025; 11:59 PM GMT.
• Review of Applications: 16th – 28th April 2025.
• Next Steps: 28th April 2025 – All applicants will be notified, with selected candidates invited to confirm their attendance to the programme.
• Notification of Final Outcome: 9th May 2025.
