Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships 2026/2027 for Study in the UK (Fully Funded) Deadline: 14 October, 2025
The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) provides this UK government scholarship scheme funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The scholarships aim to support talented individuals who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.
Purpose
These scholarships enable motivated individuals to gain knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, contributing to the future of their home countries and the wider Commonwealth.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be a citizen of (or hold refugee status in) an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.

Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.

Be available to start academic studies in the UK by September 2026.

Hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honours standard, or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s).

Be unable to afford study in the UK without this scholarship.

Provide all supporting documentation in the required format.
Scholarship Benefits

Airfare: Approved flights from home country to the UK and return after the award.

Tuition fees: Fully covered by agreement with UK universities.

Stipend: £1,452 per month (or £1,781 for London universities).

Warm clothing allowance (if applicable).

Study travel grant for related academic trips.

Child allowance: £622 per month for the first child, plus £154 for the second and third child under 16 (for single parents/widowed/divorced scholars).

Disability support: Full assessment and financial assistance for eligible scholars.
Note: Family allowances are only a contribution – scholars must be able to supplement these to support dependants.
