Commonwealth Scholarship 2026/27 for Master’s and PhD in UK (Deadlines: 14 October, 2025)

The Commonwealth Scholarship is a fully funded program that enables students from Commonwealth countries in Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree in UK. It provides access to leading universities in the United Kingdom for students who may not have the financial means to study abroad.

It is designed for students who are academically strong but cannot afford the high costs of studying in the UK. The UK government finances the program, providing full coverage of tuition, travel expenses, and monthly living allowances.

The scholarships enable students from countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Jamaica, and many others. Scholars can study a wide range of subjects, with a focus on areas that support development back home, including health, education, science, engineering, and sustainable development.

Every year, CSC selects around 700 students through nominating agencies in their home countries (such as the Higher Education Commission in Pakistan or the University Grants Commission in India) or directly through participating UK universities. Successful applicants are selected for their academic strength and their potential to become leaders who will drive progress in their home countries.

This scholarship is more than just financial for ambitious students across the Commonwealth countries. It is a chance to gain a world-class UK education and join a global alumni network of professionals who are shaping positive change in their societies.
