Calling Caribbean journalists! Join Climate Tracker’s international COP29 reporting team and cover the pivotal climate negotiations happening in Baku from November 11-22, 2024. Are you passionate about climate change and eager to make a difference? Do you dream of being at the forefront of reporting on global environmental negotiations? Apply now for the Climate Tracker (CT) COP29 Caribbean Climate Justice Journalism Fellowship 2024.

They are searching for exceptional journalists from the Caribbean region to join the overall international Climate Tracker (CT) COP29 reporting team. This is an incredible opportunity to cover the climate stories of our time while amplifying the perspectives of the Caribbean.

  • The in-person Fellows will attend the COP29 conference in the city of Baku, gaining firsthand experience and witnessing history unfold before their eyes. They will also be part of an intensive pre-COP training programme and receive support to publish their stories.
  • The online Fellows will be part of an intensive pre-COP training programme and receive support to publish their stories.
  • Expert Training: As a Climate Tracker Fellow (applies to both in-person and online), you’ll receive exclusive training from seasoned climate journalists and industry experts. This comprehensive programme will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the often-complex world of climate negotiations and effectively communicate the urgency of the Caribbean’s climate challenges.
  • Networking Opportunities: Immerse yourself in a vibrant network of climate advocates, fellow journalists, and policy influencers from around the globe. Connect with like-minded individuals, build lasting relationships, and expand your professional horizons. This is your chance to create connections that will propel your career in climate journalism forward.
  • Stipend Support: They believe in the value of your work and its impact on the world. That’s why they provide a stipend to their COP29 fellows to support their reporting efforts.

NOTE: For in-person fellows, funding covers accommodation in Baku, flights to and from Baku, and a stipend. For online fellows, funding covers a stipend.

  • Open to journalists from the Caribbean;
  • You should be passionate about climate change and eager to make a difference.
