
Czech Government Scholarships 2026/27 (Rwandans Eligible, Apply Now) Deadline: Ongoing
The Government of the Czech Republic invites students from select developing countries to apply for fully funded scholarships to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral studies at public universities in Czechia—covering tuition, living expenses, and more. The application deadline for the 2026/2027 academic year is September 30, 2025.
Who Is Eligible?
Citizens from the following countries are eligible to apply:
- Europe: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus (democratic forces)
- Africa: Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia
- Asia: Cambodia, Sri Lanka
- Latin America & Middle East: Guatemala, Jordan
Applicants must be foreign nationals—not Czech or EU citizens, and without permanent residence in the Czech Republic
Study Levels & Language Requirements
- Czech-language programs include:
- Bachelor’s (3–4 years) – for Georgia only
- Follow-up Master’s (2 years) – for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ukraine, and Belarus
- Includes a 1-year preparatory Czech-language course
- English-language programs available to all eligible countries:
- Follow-up Master’s (2 years)
- Doctoral programs (3–4 years)
Common requirements apply: proof of prior education, entrance exam for university placement, and English proficiency testing for English-taught programs.
Application & Deadlines
- Complete the online application form by September 30, 2025, on the official portal.
- A general knowledge test—and for English-language applications, an online English language test—must be completed for application to be considered.
- Applicants who pass the initial selection will be contacted by the relevant Czech embassy by December 2025 to proceed with their application.
