Deutsche Welle DW Traineeship 2026 in Germany for international students covers:
Every six months, the pre-tax monthly wage rises:
- €2196/month for months 1-6,
- €2374/month for months 7–12,
- €2473/month for months 13–18
Program Structure and Duration:
- Seminar Modules (Approx. 6 months): Focused, theory- and practice-oriented seminars and workshops covering modern journalism skills. Topics include TV moderation, multimedia storytelling, data journalism, social media, virtual reality, and working with AI tools.
- Editorial Placements (Approx. 9 months): Hands-on experience working in various DW editorial departments in Bonn and Berlin.
- Foreign Bureau Placements: Opportunities to work at one of DW’s international correspondent bureaus (e.g., Washington, Brussels, Delhi, Jakarta).
- Elective Internship: Often includes a placement with a partner broadcaster or an external internship of the trainee’s choice.

Eligibility Criteria:
