Dev-Afrique Development Advisors is inviting applications for a six-month fellowship program focused on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WSH) and Public Data Systems. Fellowship Summary
- Duration: 6 months
- Expected Commitment: 80 hours per month
- Work Mode: Hybrid (with in-country collaboration where necessary)
- Location: Primarily open to professionals in Nigeria, DRC, and Kenya
Fellows will engage in multidisciplinary assignments spanning research, analysis, project execution, and strategy development. The program is structured to expose participants to real-world challenges and enable them to develop solutions that are actionable and contextually grounded.
Core Responsibilities

- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on development issues affecting WSH systems and public data access in African countries.
- Work with Dev-Afrique’s core team to design, implement, and monitor development projects for non-profits and public sector clients.

- Prepare and present insights in the form of concise reports, briefs, and presentations to internal teams and external partners.
- Independently conceptualize and lead a high-level project aligned with personal interests and the broader mission of Dev-Afrique.
- Apply data tools and platforms (such as Excel, Power BI, and GIS) to interpret public datasets and inform decision-making processes.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Economics, Political Science, Public Health, or Sustainability. A postgraduate degree is considered an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a related field—preferably with demonstrated expertise in research, data systems, and development strategy.

- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with research tools, particularly Excel, Power BI, GIS, or other data visualization platforms.
- A demonstrated interest or background in WSH, Monitoring & Evaluation, Public Sector Analytics, or Development Policy.
- Prior experience collaborating with government agencies, NGOs, or donor-funded programs is highly desirable.
